The story behind Idea Art

what does idea represent?
Idea is the answer
To which questions?
To all...
Idea was born out of a quest for answers to life's big questions.

Having searched for an epiphany for years.

I looked for a clear, simple and ideal symbol that would be like a typeface symbolizing the process of revelation - the epiphany.

In the course of my research I became aware of the symbolism of the Y, which is the only symbol to give two paths in its upper part that rise upwards, the Why symbol.

So I had the first part, and it was in a moment of extreme lucidity that the combination of the Y and the exclamation mark came naturally!

Idea is the step between the question and its answer, a sort of call to solution in which we can sometimes find ourselves.

I know today that most complicated questions take time to become simple and allow for an ideal answer. This is what Idea is all about.

The version with two semicircles was version 2.0. Its purpose is to represent a button to press. A modern version that's useful today and looks just like a being.

I hope one day it will be one of the small characters I'm clicking on now and that you're reading to understand my words.

To live with the world is to live with the image we have of it

The vision of the world is sometimes the one that calls to us, gently, patiently, until we are ready to hear it.

Life is a marvellous adventure, woven of unexpected events and transformations. Every detour, every ordeal carries with it an invitation: to grow, to understand, to awaken.
It was in one of these moments of intense questioning, during my youth, that a new light shone. I felt a profound impulse to seek meaning, to discover the beauty hidden behind the mystery.

"It is in seeking clarity in the unknown that the most beautiful revelations are born."

This thirst for meaning led me down an exciting path. I found enlightening minds who taught me to think with rigor and wonder. Science opened its doors to me, revealing the splendor of order hidden in chaos, the secret harmony of nature.
Then came psychology, offering a new key to understanding the infinite richness of human experience. I discovered that the world doesn't hide its truths - it simply invites us to open our eyes and our hearts. Through reflection, contemplation and presence.

Then one day, without expectation or premeditation, everything lit up.
I was walking through a garden when nature revealed itself in all its splendor. Light seemed to dance on every leaf, every breath of air vibrated with an indescribable softness. Everything seemed connected, alive, loving.

At that moment, I deeply felt that reality carries within it a sacred dimension, a benevolent intelligence that envelops and guides us.

This revelation marked a turning point: it became the foundation of a body of work and a message.

Since then, through the art that emanates from all this, there has been a quest to share this invisible beauty, this discreet magic that links all things.
It's a simple wish to remind us that the world is not only matter and reason, but also light, breath and harmony.

It's up to us to celebrate it. To protect it. And to pass it on, with joy and

gratitude.

Plant Luminescence

At the frontier between Art and Science, this unique concept imagined by Aglaé, sublimates the beauty of plants thanks to an eco-designed serum developed in our research laboratory.

It is absorbed by capillary action via the plant's root system, marking the veins without any genetic modification.

The invention then unveils a new aesthetic, made visible under black light (UV LED).

It also defends ecological values, with the ultimate aim of lighting the cities of tomorrow... by the light of trees, without the need for electric lighting.

Why? Why?

I interpret, explore, discover and think about the world through my screen.

Every day, through the films I make, I tour semi-imaginary universes. I interpret, explore, discover and think about the world as I look at it through my screen.

Since a screen is an interpretation of the world, I started photographing it. It's a banal, contemporary gesture to photograph a screen broadcasting an image, and enjoy the result. I started doing it every day, with zeal and discipline.

It's strange and fascinating: there are images within images. Worlds within worlds. Realities within reality. An infinite repository of images.

I call "Visual Compression" the process by which I act on the world with my camera. I create my own perception of this virtual world to which we are all overexposed on a daily basis. Visual Compression is the banal gesture that gives me the power to become an actor in contemplation.

Biography

Free to travel to fantastic worlds.

Born on May 21, 1985, in Paris, into a family of craftsmen. Charles Hamonnais was immediately immersed in a world that combines art and know-how.

He first turned to the sciences to discover the secrets of the world.
At the age of 18, he had a personal revelation that discovery would not be made in the classical sciences, but in the sciences of perception.

It was at this age that he began to photograph the strange phenomena that presented themselves to him as magical moments.

He set out in search of the new visual dimension that would make visible a world that combines harmonious reality and fiction.

Reality for the acceptance of the present,
Harmony to create the link and lay the foundations for birth
Of a still-fictitious future that will necessarily include aspects of our most beautiful dreams.
"Because when it comes down to it, if you can photograph a dream, is it still a dream!"

Each theme addressed by Charles Hamonnais arouses the viewer's interest in a different way:
"To live with the world is to live with the image we have of it.

The photographic series on offer gravitate between dream and reality.

You'll gain access to this new photographic dimension.

Come, come with me and discover what it's like to be free to travel these fantastic worlds.

Visual Immersion

Visual Immersion is a photographic technique that consists in creating one's own perception of the virtual world to which each of us is overexposed on a daily basis. I film what I photograph and mix visual sources, so that the worlds I photograph are always designed to bring together dream and reality. It's a mode of active contemplation that gives viewers the power to become actors, to reappropriate what they see, to take back control. By "visual compression", I take back my right to intervene, to interfere, to intercept light, wherever it comes from - from the sun to the screens.
