NOTRE BOUTIQUE
When Paris remembers the light
Série créée par Charles Hamonnais
Beneath the pyramid that night, the architecture decided to tell the story
This photographic series explores the city of Paris as a sensitive territory, traversed by time, memory, and light. The urban landscapes, deliberately transformed by chromatic inversions and visual superimpositions, shift away from their primary function to become mental, almost dreamlike spaces.
Architecture appears here as a living structure: domes, canals, squares, and footbridges become thresholds, axes, points of passage between reality and imagination. Trees, birds, and human silhouettes, sometimes translucent, embody the trace of life within a built environment, reminding us that the city is first and foremost a place inhabited by stories.
Each photograph acts as a fragment of memory, where seasons, hours, and perspectives overlap. The viewer is invited to slow down, to wander through the layers of light and color, to reconstruct their own narrative. The series does not document the city: it reinvents it, as if the city were remembering itself.
